Capital One sees Q4 charge from American Express litigation

Dec 12 (Reuters) - Capital One Financial Corp (COF.N: Quotazione) said it expects to take a charge of about $80 million in the fourth quarter in connection with the settlement of an anti-trust lawsuit brought by American Express Co (AXP.N: Quotazione) against credit card associations, according to a regulatory filing.

The $2.1 billion settlement, entered into in November 2007, resolved a lawsuit involving Visa, Mastercard (MA.N: Quotazione) and eight banks including Capital One Financial Corp. (Reporting by Avishek Mishra in Bangalore; )
