Dec 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said about 70,000 units of Black & Decker BDK.N brand toasters manufactured in China were recalled by distributor Applica Consumer Products Inc due to fire hazard.
The commission said an electrical component in the toaster can overheat and ignite the circuit board, posing a fire hazard.
The toasters were sold at home improvement and discount department retailers nationwide from March through November this year, the commission said in a statement. (Reporting by Jennifer Robin Raj in Bangalore; Editing by Deepak Kannan)
