NEW YORK, 12 aprile (Reuters) - Thomson Reuters/University
of Michigan Surveys of Consumers' preliminary April consumer
sentiment index fell to 72.3 from the final March figure of
78.6, according to the survey released on Friday. 
    Economists in a Reuters survey expected a preliminary April 
sentiment index reading of 78.5.
